Job Listing: Church Nursery & Classroom Assistants 

Location: Science Hill Community Church, Alliance, OH
Position Type: Part-time, Tuesday evenings, from 6:45-8:00pm.
Start Date: January 28

Job Description: 

We are seeking enthusiastic and dependable college students to join our team at Science Hill to assist with various children and youth programs. These positions are perfect for students looking to gain experience in a nurturing and dynamic environment while earning a little extra money. We are hiring assistants for three specific age groups:

Nursery Assistants (Ages 0-2)

Provide loving care and supervision for infants and toddlers during our Tuesday evening classes.

Engage children in age-appropriate activities and ensure their safety and well-being.

Assist with diaper changes, feeding, and basic needs.

Preschool/Elementary Assistants (Ages 3-10)

Support teachers in delivering lessons and activities for preschool and elementary-aged children.

Assist with classroom management, craft time, games, and story-time.

Foster a positive and welcoming environment for young learners.

Middle School & High School Youth Assistants (Ages 11-18)

Assist youth leaders in facilitating engaging Bible studies, discussions, and activities.

Build relationships with students and help create a safe and encouraging space for teens to grow in their faith.

Qualifications:

A heart for children and youth, with a desire to mentor and guide young people.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Must pass a background check and adhere to all church safety protocols.

Hours & Schedule:

Tuesday evenings. Class time goes from 6:45 to 8:00 pm. Candidates are expected to arrive a few minutes early and stay until all children are picked up. 

Scheduling  of candidates and the amount needed each week depends upon the availability of church volunteers to fill the positions. Between one and four candidates are needed each week.

Classes are scheduled to run on January 28, February 4, 11, 18, 25, March 11, 18, 25, April 1, 8, 22, 29, May 6, 13, 20.

Compensation:

$14 for the evening.
